Chairman:

Mr David Fife

My name is David Fife and I am the current Chairman of the Friends. Through my job as a Pharmacist in the town, I realised what a valuable and essential asset the Hospital was and joined the committee in 1993. I was keen to do everything possible to ensure its survival and enhance the provision of services to both to inpatients and those in the community. In 1997 I was the fund raising Chairman when the Friends raised £160,000  to support the build of the Minor Injuries Unit. Funds continued to accumulate after the building was finished to the extent that we have now been able to rebuild the Teapot Café. In the future the Friends hope to support the provision of a much-needed extension to the Minor Injuries Unit.

If you would like to be part of this vital community asset by becoming a Friend and/or wish to serve on the committee then contact friends of NSCH  or fill in the form opposite. The work of the committee is not onerous (4 meetings a year) but is essential to support the work of the hospital.

We would encourage interest from Portishead, Nailsea and Yatton residents, who all live in our catchment area and may offer a different perspective on services we should offer.
