Raising Funds

Where do our funds come from – our own fundraising events such as Fashion Shows and Fundraising Golf days:  Donations from grateful patients:  Local people, businesses and organisations:  In memory of loved ones and legacies.

Another big fundraiser for us has been The Little Teapot – the café in the conservatory in the hospital grounds.  It has been shut during the Covid pandemic and the Friends with your support have financed the provision of a new larger building, named “The Teapot”. It will open towards the end of February 2022 and will continue to provide refreshments and a place for patients and carers to wait as access to the Minor Injuries unit is restricted.

Many people have helped including Britannia Windows, (supplying the conservatory at cost), Rudge Brothers & James (Flooring), Howdens (Kitchen Units dishwasher and fridge) and Lloyds bank (cups, plates and cutlery). Individual members of the community have sponsored the tables and chairs.

What of the future?   We will continue, with the help of “Friends” to support and assist the hospital in every way possible.
